The last two weeks have been busy, busy, busy for us. There was an end-of-school party with wonderful new friends, and late-night drinks with good, out-of-town old friends. We had slow nature walks followed by fast catch-your-plane walks. June became July, and temperatures went up, up, up. Playtime in the water and snacks in the shade. Tiny freckles covered by giant smears of sunscreen. Rosy cheeks, wide eyes, and special treats ... and tantrums and tears and lessons taught (and hopefully learned). Sunglasses, hats, and stripes and stars, and red and white and blue, and barbecue. Glad to get away, but glad to get home again.
