We spent last week sunning on Kiawah Island, S.C., with my in-laws. The six-day sojourn was fantastic. There were good meals, long walks, and Jon and I were even able to escape for a date or two after Cecile was sent to sleep. Here are some snaps from our first day spent on the sand.

Cecile has mastered sitting--something that made a big difference when playing in the sand.
